Observation On The Efficiency Of Mixed Triclabendazole and Levamisole Against Cestod Infections In Sheep And Goats In The Field

1- Anthelmintic: A mixed drench containing 5% of Triclabendazole and 3.75% Levamisole presented by ciba- gaigy under comercial name of Endex were observed in this experiment. Each c.c of Endex contained 50 mg. of Triclabe-endazole and 37.5mg. of Levamisole, rcommended oraly use for sheep and Goats to evrey 5 kilo graves of their bodyweight. 2- Experimental animals: 45 sheep (male and female) from Mr. Nayery flock located in Hashtgerd which have mixed infection to Gastro - inre - stinal nema- tods, Lungworms, Tayepworms and Liverfiukes were selected and divided in 3 groups of A,B and C15 animals in each group. 3- Group A and Group B were treated with Endex, given oraly the above recommended dose for their bodyweight. Group C were not treated and used as a control group. 4- The results showed that: A- Endex is highly effective against Gastro - intestinal Nematods (95.75%), Lungwom (lOO % for Dictyocaulus spp.) and liver Eascioliasos (99.5%). B- Endex has not any treat effect against Tricuris spp. sheep Tapeworm Moniezia spp. and small liver fluke: Dicrocoelium infection in the infected animals
