Protein polymorphism and phylogenetic relationships have been studied at 6 species of decorative fishes, in base of total proteins researches. Isolation, purification, and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of total proteins, extracted from muscle tissues, were used as methods for researches. The determination of qualitative peculiarities of total proteins allowed to put in evidence a height protein polymorphism of investigated species. The genetic similariry and distances between studied fishes have been calculated in base of electrophoregram analysis. The protein molecular mass of each showed electrophoretic band was determined. The cluster analysis established that, according to the total proteins study, the species formed three clusters, grouped in dependence of their belonging order, figuring out the common ancestor named Poecilia reticulata. In base of genetic distances the taxones divergence time between the species of each studied order was calculated. All figured results, that refer to phylogenetic relationships and genuine origin of investigated species are based just on the obtained issues of total protein research.
