The aim of the investigation has been to study the effect of the combined use of biological preparations and mineral fertilizers on grain yield and yield components in wheat (Triticum aestivum cv. Podolyanka). In the sowing day the seeds were treated with biopreparations based on nitrogen fixing bacteria and wheat lectin. It was found that wheat yield increased by 0,5 - 0,6 t/ha when the seeds were inoculated with biological preparations (without applying fertilizers). If, in addition to seed bacterization, mineral fertilizers were applied, the yield increase was 2,0 - 2,1 t/ha. Grain yield directly depended on all yield components; the contribution of each of them was essential: kernel number per spike(rE2=0,695-0,860), spike length (rE2=0,475-0.838), one-spike weight (rE2=0,882-0,966), thousand-kernel weight (rE2=0883-0,956).
