Results of breeding value evaluation in Polish Holstein-Friesian bulls [Pt. 2]
2008
In season of calving October 2007 - March 2008 (2008/2) breeding values for body and type traits were evaluated by the BLUP animal model. Following traits were included: height measure at rump size, conformation and dairy character, legs and feet, udder, final score, body depth, chest width, rump angle, rump width, rear leg set, foot angle, rear leg set - rear view, fore udder attachment, rear udder height, central ligament, udder depth, rear udder width, fore teat placement, teat length, dairy character. In the Black-and-White Polish Holstein, 8117 sire were evaluated, 5431 of them based on 10 or more daughter. There were 16928 herds and 83451 herd-year-season-classifier subclasses
