Estimation of changesot microelement contents in cereals as influence of calcium and magnesium soil application
2007
Blaziak, J.,[email protected]
Studies were carried out on a basis of the pot experiment in vegetation room. Silt of water origin with very acidic reaction was the soil material. The following were experimental factors: control (no fertilization), CaO, CaO + MgO and MgSO4 x 7H2O applied according to the one hydrolytic acidity. Spring barley and oat were tested plants. Cereals collected from control object showed high contents of iron, manganese and zinc. Application of lime and magnesium caused significant decrease of microelement contents in plants, especially Mn by 25-90 percent, and Zn by 15-60 percent, Fe by 15-40 percent. The influence of CaO and CaO + MgO on the content of microelement in cereals was similar. In a case of oat, their level of decrease up to low values occurred. Magnesium sulfate affected much weaker the decrease
