The objective of this study was to determine grain yield, yield structure and the content of macroelements in grain, of new forms of brown husked oats and traditional yellow husked oats. A one-factorial field experiment was conducted over a 2-year period (2005-06) at the Experimental Station in Mydlniki (Poland). The treatments were three new forms of brown-husked oats and two yellow-husked cultivars of oats. The macroelements in oats grain were assessed with ICP-AES method. The grain yields of studied forms of oats did not differ significantly and ranged from 6.47 to 7.80 t/ha. The studied forms and cultivars of oats showed significantly different content of P, Mg, Ca and K in husks and Ca, Na and K in husk-less kernels in both vegetation seasons
