Soil samples were collected from long-term field experiment carried out on a luvisol composed of strong loamy sand. Four farmyard cattle manure doses (0, 20, 40, 60 and 80 t/ha) were applied every other four years under potatoes, while four doses (0, 40, 80 and 120 kg N/ha of amonium nitrate were used yearly.
