In the soil material, taken from 17 profiles with podzolization process from Tatra and Babia Gora National Parks (Poland), determined were: content of total, organic and sulphate sulphur, organic carbon and pyrophosphate and oxalate forms of Fe and Al. The organic horizons of the investigated soils contained the highest amount of each sulphur form. The amounts of these components in the mineral horizons was lower and clearly differentiated - in the spodic horizons was significantly higher than in the albic horizons. The content of sulphate sulphur essentially depends on the amount of organic matter, and oxalate and pyrophosphate forms of Fe and Al, which distribution in the profile is affected by the podzolization process
