In this study was examined the influence of age, sex and diet composition on production parameters and carcass quality of the broiler chickens of two genotypes. As production parameters were taken body weight, average daily gain, mortality, feed consumption and conversion of broiler chickens. The carcass quality was defined by conformation measures and examination of the most important slaughter characteristics: body weight, dressing percentage, portion and weight of main parts of carcass (breasts, thigh and drumstick) also the weight and portion of abdominal fat in chicken carcass. Except all of this, it was examined the influence of interaction genotype x nutrition of some production and slaughter traits of broiler chicken carcass. As researching material were used 1200 one-day broiler chickens of hybrid line Cobb 500 and 1200 chickens of hybrid line Hubbard Classic, distributed in 16 separate stalls. As general conclusion for all these examinations is that the age has significant influence on production and slaughter characteristics, while chicken sex has significant influence on the slaughter characteristics. The chickens fed with different diets and chickens of different genotypes have smaller differences in the production and slaughter traits, so there should be further examinations of these influences on the production and slaughter traits of broiler chickens.
