The use of probiotics may provide an alternative to the administration of subtherapeutic levels of antibiotics in preventing the colonization of the gastrointestinal tract by unfavourable microorganisms. The trials was conducted on Experimental Farm of Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad (Serbia). There were three groups with 5 replicates: 1st - control group, 2nd - group with added probiotics in water and feed, 3rd - group with antibiotic growth promotor (AGP). Final average body weight were 2179 g (1st), 2190 g (2nd), and 2158 g (3rd). Feed conversion ratio was 1.93 in control group, 1.90 in probiotic group and 1.93 in AGP group. Mortality rates were 4.27% (1st), 3.47% (2nd) and 2.40% (3rd), EPEF were 257 (1st), 260 (2nd) and 265 (3rd). Achieved results showed a positive effect of probiotics on production performances of broiler chickens. Added AGP in the 3rd group did not show positive effects on productive traits of chickens, except on mortality rate.
