The research results showed that cultivars Dzin and Zora have a high genetic potential yield that is significantly increased with increasing amounts of nitrogen. The yield of vegetative biomass was greater in the year with the best layout of rainfall, which indicates that sorghum strongly respond to favourable water and nutrient regime. The quality or value of fresh biomass was also higher in variants with increased amounts of nitrogen. The quality of biomass as a voluminous fodder nitrogenous nutrients are affected twice the first was increased percentage share in total leaf biomass and the optimal diet in this element is enabled greater protein synthesis.
