For the purpose of obtaining information about the status of accuracy of raw material and feed in the Vojvodina Province (Serbia), 20 factories and feed mixes for animals were monitored in the area of Southern Bačka and Srem. Out of total number of raw materials (38), in 8 samples toxic elements were above maximally permitted level what makes 21.05% of the examined feed. Out of total number of feed (58), in 3 samples measured quantity of toxic elements was above maximally permitted level (5.17%). The reason for incompatibleness of the samples with the Regulations is a high content of arsenic. Presence of toxic elements in considerable quantities is evident, both in raw materials but also in feed, what indicates that examination should be obligatory, especialy for the producers of raw materials, i.e. feed, because this is an important precondition for production of safe feed.
