The monograph has combined and systematized the experimental study data of the Orenburg wool goat breed. In 1991-1993 the number of the Orenburg wool goat reached 129000, the production of high quality wool – 35-38 ton. Currently the number of goats has reduced by a factor of 7-8. Preserving this goat breed requires studying the laws of fetal development and growth of newborn goats, their locomotor system, skin, its derivatives and internal organs. The growth dynamics and wool teasing according to seasons were studied. As is found, the fetal weight increases unevenly with age, in 60-day old feta it reaches 51.2 g amounting to 1.64% by weight of a newborn, 90-day-old feta – 387.1-397.5 g, or 11.5-13.0%, respectively. In the 2-nd period of fetal development their weight doubles every day. Goat breeders should take this into consideration and feed goats during pregnancy with nutritionally balanced rations. During the first hours of newborn lives the penetration of intestinal mucous membrane reduces. This membrane is capable of flowing large molecular immune bodies and white blood cells into newborns' blood and lymph though itself from mother's colostrum. On expiry of 26 h after birth this way is blocked. Forming own immune bodies starts since day 12-14 after birth. Therefore, it is important to timely receive colostrum by a kid. The viability and productivity of goats depends on developing and functioning internal organs. So, it is necessary to intensify the study of the Orenburg wool goats
