Comparatively the methods of treating follicular ovary cysts (FOC) in cows by using surfagone, polyvet, potassium iodine and estrofan were evaluated. The therapeutic efficiency of the proposed routines was estimated by the number of unfertilized cows within 2 months (observation period). Biochemical studies of blood sera of infertile cows with FOC showed low content of iodine associated with protein testifying to the etiological role of hypothyroidism. The artificial insemination of cows was carried out as they come in estrus. In the first group effectively inseminated were 80%, in the second group – 93.3%. As is shown, using potassium iodine, intraperitoneally – polyvet and intramuscularly – estrofan promoted reducing in blood total protein and simultaneously increasing protein-associated iodine, that is, influenced on thyroid, hypophysis and genitals, as well as the growth of follicles in ovaries. It is recommended for use in correcting FOC in cows
