Differences in shoot and root growth parameters between seedlings with green and red bark of Acacia seyal var. seyal at three irrigation intervals were studied under nursery conditions. One-year old seedlings of about similar shoot length with red and green bark were subjected to irrigation intervals of2, 7 and 14 days for three months and then harvested. Data were collected on shoot length, root length, number of shoots, and number of roots, shoot dry weight, root dry weight and root: shoot ratio. The growth parameters of the seedlings with green bark were significantly greater than those with red bark. The red and green bark seedlings were affected by the irrigation treatment, where the values of the growth parameters decreased significantly with increase in irrigation intervals
