The use of pesticides is still a necessary component of agricultural systems for crop production because of economic limitations, therefore it is important to develop tools which assist in the management of pesticides in regards to the issue of environmental fate. A promissing approach to this problem is the development of user-friendly tools within the scope of the 6th Framework Programme - Project Footprint. The results of the project aim to identify the dominant contamination pathways and sources of pesticide contamination; estimate pesticide concentrations in local groundwater resources and surface waters; provide information on how the implementation
