Ege Bölgesinde kestane kanseri (Cryphonectria parasitica Murr. Bar.) hastalığının hipovirulent ırklarla doğal koşullarda biyolojik kontrolü

إنجليزي. In this project, the biological control study was carried out using hypovirulent strains isolated by us in a Chestnut Grove in Hacıisalar village of Manisa province. In the study, beside the biological control of chestnut blight, sanitation practices were also planned which should be carried out by the grower, including pruning of died branches infected by the pathogen and also by Cytospora sp. in and around the pilot area. But these practices could not be done and Cytospora sp. and C. parasitica caused new infections, some of cankers in the bark of the trees became larger and some of the trees died. As a result of the study, the cankers on the diseased trees inoculated with hypovirulent isolates became to heal, but unfortunately the natural dissemination of hypovirulent strains in the pilot area couldn't be determined because of lacking of cultural measures. Therefore, one should find out the dissemination of hypovirulence in chestnut stands, before to advice biological control through hypovirulence in a large region. The study is the first experiment on the biological control of chestnut blight by hypovirulent strains in chestnut groves of Turkey.

Bu projede, 1996-1999 yılları arasında yapılan çalışma ile tarafımızdan bulunan hipovirulent ırklar kullanılarak kestane kanseri hastalığının Manisa'nın Hacıisalar köyü kestaneliklerinde, doğal koşullarda biyolojik kontrolü üzerinde çalışılmıştır. Projede, hipovirulent ırklarla biyolojik kontrol çalışmasının sanitasyon uygulamalarıyla birlikte yürütülmesi, çalışma alanındaki ve çevresindeki tamamen kurumuş Cytospora sp. ve C.parasitica ile enfekteli ağaçların üretici tarafından kesilip imha edilmesi planlanmıştı. Ancak bu uygulamalar yaptırılamamıştır. Bu nedenle Cytospora sp. ve C. parasitica çalışma alanında yeni enfeksiyon oluşumuna, bazı kanser alanlarında büyümeye ve bazı ağaçlarda kurumaya neden olmuştur. Aynı nedenle hipovirulensin çalışma alanındaki yayılması da saptanamamıştır. Sonuç olarak hipovirulent ırkla inokule edilen ağaçlarda kanser yaraları iyileşmeye başlamıştır. Ancak hipovirulent ırkların pilot alanda doğal yayılma durumu saptanamadığı için, çalışma sonucu ümitvar olmasına rağmen, bu yöntemin pratiğe aktarılması önerisinden önce doğal hipovirulens naklinin belirlenmesi de gerekmektedir. Türkiye'de ilk defa bu proje ile doğada, kestane kanseri hastalığının hipovirulent ırklarla biyolojik kontrolü üzerinde bir çalışma yürütülmüştür.
