إنجليزي. Nematodes are the most important secondary consumers among the soil microfauna and the most abundant soil metazoans. Use of nematicides is one of the primary means of controlling nematodes. The negative impact of nematicides on the environment and human health has restricted use of most nematicides. Chemical nematicides often do not provide long-term suppression of nematodes. Therefore, there is a need to develop alternative, environmentally friendly management tactics for plant-parasitic nematodes. In recent years biological control of plant- parasitic nematodes has become one of the most significant and intensive research areas.

Nematodlar toprak mikrofaunası içindeki en önemli tüketicilerden ve en fazla rastlanan toprak metazoanlarındandır.Nematisitlerin kullanımı nematod savaşımında öncelikli olmaktadır.Nematisitlerin çevre ve insan sağlığı üzerindeki olumsuz etkisi birçok nematisitin kullanımını kısıtlamaktadır.Nematisitler genellikle nematodları uzun süreli olarak baskı altına alamazlar. Bunun için bitki paraziti nematodların savaşımında çevre dostu alternatif yönetim taktiklerinin geliştirilmesine ihtiyaç vardır.
