Phuc Trach pomello is a specialty fruit tree in Ha Tinh in general, specially in Huong Khe district. In the recent years, Phuc Trach pumello is of abundant flowers, but very low productions because of seriously dropping young fruits after blooming. To prevent small fruit drop situations, the experiments on extra pollinations have been implemented. After 24 months of study, the results of experiments showed that there is not any significant different between treatments of extra pollinations with pollens taken from the same variety (Phuc Trach) and the control. Whereas, fruit setting and yield of Phuc Trach pumello were increased significantly when using pollens from trees planted by seeds (sour variety) for extra pollination, particularly in unfavorable weather condition. The quality of fruits was not changing when using the sour pumelo as pollen supplying resources for Phuc Trach pomello.
