The vegetation of Yen Tu western nature reserve in Bac giang province has 4 formation class. a/ Closed forest has 2 formation. Tropical evergreen seasonal lowland forest of = 300 m high. This formation has 2 subformation which are broad- leaved tree and bamboo forest pure stand. Tropical evergreen seasonal submontane forest of 300m high has 1 subformation which is broad-leaved tree. b/ Wood land forest has 1 formation: Tropical evergreen seasonal lowland forest. This formation has 3 subformation which are broad-leaved Tree, bamboo forest intercalated with wood tree, and bamboo forest pure stand. c/ Shrub has 1 Formation: Tropical evergreen broad-leaved shrubland on the drought soil. This formation has 2 subformations which are subformation with scattered grown wooden trees, and subformation without wooden trees. d/ Herbaceous vegetation has 2 subformations. The first subformation has grass in paddy form, with medium height, grass coverage of10-40%, and draught-bearing capacity. The second subformation is grass without paddy form with low tree and annual live.
