Serological investigations in microagglutination test of blood sera from 54 street and 41 home dogs from different regions of Sofia city were done. In 54% of the examined sera from street and in 68% of these from home dogs were established antibodies against Leptospira interrogans. In the street dogs prevailed antiboddies specific for L. canicola, while in the home dogs - for L. interochaemorrhagiae. These results showed wide distribution of leptospirosis among the street dogs in Sofia, as well as the necessity of regular vaccinations of the home dogs.
