Reclamation of Technosols allowing their agricultural use was held in the region of mines Maritsa-Iztok, Bulgaria. This paper deals with the suitability of Technosols for growing autumn crops wheat, barley and rye. Land evaluation is calculated using the square root method Khiddir, 1986 and principles of the Methodology for work at cadastre of agricultural lands in Republic Bulgaria Petrov et al., 1988. Besides traditionally used geoecological parameters for land evaluation, we interpolate the humus differentiation index, which represents the ratio between humus content in C1k and Apk horizon. This characteristic better describes differentiation in technogenic soils, which is more strongly manifested in terms of humus content, rather than a texture differentiation. The obtained values show that Technosols built in the region of mines Maritsa-Iztok belongs to the evaluation group of average suitable land with score 40-60 according to the Bulgarian methodology and to Class S3 limited suitable land of FAO 1976.
