Study of the advantages of the leguminous (Fobaceae) crops (especially green pea (Pisum sativum) of Belus, Agat, Belarus, Svitanak, Millenium and Alex varieties and vetch (Vicia) of Natali, Charovnitsa, Mila and Udacha varieties) use as the sources of protein for the formation of the complete and protective feeding of all breeds of agricultural animals was realized . Characteristic, the potential yielding capacity, seed quality characteristic of new selected in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus varieties of fodder-grain peas and vetch were presented. Possibility of the introduced varieties use for organization of the balanced diets with the concentrated feeds and bulky feedstuffs by the digestive protein indexes was analysed. Research results proved that for the effective solution of the protein content problem at farms of Belarus it was necessary to form the stable seed growing conditions of both studied crops with the availability of the different varieties with the different morphotype and with different ripening terms and taking into consideration the soil and climatic conditions of the concrete region
