In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were created samples of festulolium (rye fescue) of ryegrass and oat morphotypes in continuous plant formation plant stand. Also, there was determined the level of their yielding capacity in control crop nurseries and after the preliminary variety testing in different years. Appreciable festulolium variety samples were selected. Tests were realized in 2007-2009 on sod-podzolic cohesive sandy soil. Research results showed that new varieties of festulolium of ryegrass morphotype were able to form dry matter yield of 65-70 c/ha; yield of crude protein - 1.15-1.45 t/ha. Festulolium of oat morphotype formed 96-108 c/ha of dry matter and 1,6 – 1,8 t/ha of crude protein yields. Growing rates and rates of accumulation of dry matter in festulolium varieties which were created with annual ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum L.) participation were substantially higher than festulolium varieties created by perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne). For the creation of festulolium varieties with intensive growing rates, high forage qualities and winter resistance the parental forms should obligatory include annual ryegrass, meadow fescue (Festuca pratensis) or reed fescue (Festuca arundinacea) and perennial ryegrass. It will make it possible to provide their productive longevity up to five and more years.
