In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was analyzed the influence of participation of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris var. saccharifera) in crop rotations on weed infestation of its plantings. The experiments were realized on sod-podzolic sandy soil 2004-2006. Herbicides were applied by hand spraying in dozes of 250 l/ha. For the determination of initial number of weeds and efficiency of applied herbicides in sugar beet plantings there was realized the quality and species control of weediness before herbicide application and after each 30 60 days after herbicide application. Research results showed that in the conditions of 30% participation of sugar beet in crop rotations the number of weed plants decreased in 2-3 times in comparison with 10% participation. Sugar yield was in direct relationship to yielding capacity and sucrose percentage. In case of 30% supply of crop rotations the sugar yield was 67.3 c/ha; in case of 20% supply of crop rotations – 64.1 c/ha; and in case of 10% supply – 59.1 c/ha.
