Использование вида S. andigenum для создания исходного материала картофеля

Results of evaluation of variety samples of Solanum andigenum species according to their agronomical characters and characteristics of hybrid populations realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus were presented. For hybrid combinations there was determined the type of inheritance of resistance to late blight of leaves, as well as yielding capacity, starch content, and quality of potato chips. There were selected promising hybrids which can be recommended as parental forms and sources of agronomical and quantitative characters in potato breeding. Research results showed that for a plenty of S. andigenum samples there was typical the genetic control the following traits: starch content; late blight resistance; black stem of tubers. For the majority of hybrid populations obtained with participation of S. andigenum forms there was stared stated heterosis on productivity.
