One of the key problems in the conditions of deficiency of investment resources and transfer of agrarian sector into innovative way of development is the problem of production and technical potential formation. For the evaluation efficiency of formation of the basic means there can be used a number of estimation parameters. One of the major parameters is the capital-output ratio of production which characterizes the value of capital funds on production of a production unit. Methodical bases for calculation of capital-output ratio of agricultural production with a breakdown into its separate types and kinds are proposed. The actual capital-output ratio of plant growing and animal husbandry production is determined. Near-term prospect specifications of the basic production assets for production unit, hectare of an area under crops, a head of cattle are developed.
