Biotechnological methods gain acceptance during creation of new plants' forms with required characteristics. One of the methods is in vitro cultivation. Haploids are used nowadays for the creation of new varieties of rice, wheat, rape and other cultivars. Flax haploids are researched either, but there is no technology which allows getting large number of haploids of any genotype. The choice of optimal conditions for anther culturing under in vitro conditions is made in flax cultivars with the aim of using a haploid phenomenon in breeding of this crop. For the experiment 11 varieties of flax (Linum usitatissimum) are used. Among them are: Pramen, Vita, Niva, Rucheek, Lola. The crops have been cultivated in the Central Botanical garden of the National academy of sciences of the Republic of Belarus. Flower buds have been got while pollina is in mononucleate phase. The mediums are MS and N6. Callus in isolated anther of flax varieties is analyzed. Callusogenesis ability of different flax varieties in anther culture is evaluated. The research shows that treatment of the flower buds with low temperature during 48 hours promote callus formation.
