In course of the study there was analyzed the whole variety of soils of the Republic of Belarus, independent of a degree of their anthropogenic transformation. As a result of realized studies there was created a database of representative soil profiles. It was developed on the first level of generalization of Soil Information System of Belarus (1st – the Republic of Belarus; 2nd - administrative region; 3rd - administrative district; 4th - individual commercial farm unit; 5th - working area) and included detailed information about the most common types of soils in the territory of the Republic of Belarus, represented by 109 soil profiles with detailed fixing to the territory and full set of analytical data. The database systematized all available in the Republic of Belarus information about soil properties, state and use. It gave overall view about component composition of soil cover not only in the Republic of Belarus on the whole but also about dominant soil in all the regions of the Republic. The database made it possible to realize statistical processing of systemized information and present it in a necessary for users version not only on the given generalization level but also on other levels of Soil Information System of Belarus.
