In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was given a characteristic short in length fruit and parthenocarpic inbred lines of cucumber (Cucumis sativus) for film greenhouses according to a number of economic, agronomic, morphological and biological characteristics: yielding capacity; parthenocarpy; size and color of leaves; size, shape, surface and color of a fruit and thorns; disease prevalence. There were presented the results of a competitive testing and characteristic of new national promising short in length fruit type of parthenocarpic cucumber hybrids for the film greenhouses: Plyn F1; Tonus F1; and Braginka F1. The created hybrids made it possible to provide yielding capacity of young fruit within the limits of 15-20 kg/ square m. Also they showed high resistance to a complex of disease and had high technological and biochemical indexes. The proposed hybrids could be used as fresh food and were recommended for vinegar pickling.
