In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was studied the influence of a new herbicide Adengo, suspension concentrates (thiencarbazone-methyl, 90 g/l + isoxaflutole, 225 g/l + cyprosulfamide / safener, 150 g/l) on weed infestation of maize (Zea mays) after its pre-emergence and after-emergence treatment at the phase of 2-3 leaves. The preparation in doses of 0.3-0.4 l/ha rendered substantial influence on lowering of maize seedlings with annual dicotyledonous and cereal weed plants. There was analyzed the efficiency of Adengo against the following weeds: corn mayweed (Matricaria inodora); winterweed (Stellaria media); hemp-nettle (Galeopsis tetrahit); black bindweed (Polygonum convolvulus); barnyard grass (Echinochloa crusgalli); lamb's-quarters (Chenopodium album); cleavers (Gallum aparine). In course of a month after its treatment it suppressed growth and development of couch grass (Agropyron repens). In the experimental year the mortality of weeds was approximately 92-96%. As a result of lowering of weed infestation the preserved green mass yield of maize was 510.2-520.1 centner/ha in case of pre-emergence application and 540.9-617.8 centner/ha – in case of after-emergence treatment.
