The technology for banana fiber conversion to produce fuel alcohol from banana stems and leaves was researched by methods of hydrolyzing and saceharifying with 20 g/L dilute acid and microorganism fermentation engineering;and the effects of the water content,cellulose content and the hemicelluloses content in indifferent parts of different banana varieties on ethanol production were discussed. The research has great significance on comprehensive utilization of resources of the banana leaves and stems.
