Factors affecting fertility after artificial insemination of Payoya goats have been analyzed from the results of 1384 inseminations from 2005 to 2008. Mean fertility rate was 59%. Six out of the fifteen factors showed a significant effect on fertility (farm, age, size group, incidences at insemination, number of previous kidding and milk production). Higher fertility percentages were obtained in July, in the older goats, when the size of the group to be inseminated was small, in transcervical inseminations, in goats with more than 5 previous kiddings and with lowest daily milk production
