Evaluation and production of Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)Germplasm for Khazar coast and central province of IRAN.

To produce restorer, A and B lines for early maturity hybrids varieties corresponded to second culture in irrigated land and genetic study this proposal was conducted in Karaj, Gonbad, Sary, Isfahan, and shahrood in 2006. So 5 restorer and 89 B lines were sown in isolated condition with cloth bags. 182 old restorer lines were regenerate in this year. New restorer lines which named RN and RN1, were evaluated in 2005. Selected restorer lines which drive from restorer population were inbred for (S3) generation. Restorer and B lines were crossed each other to produce variation to select som early maturity restorer and B line in future years. These selections evaluated and some Of them were removed and remains were selected for special purposes. 158 new restorer lines and 51 as new set of restorer lines will sown and evaluated in next year. The restorer lines pollen transform to some CMS lines to produce new experimental sunflower hybrids. Local A and B lines of CMS lines IN Karaj, Esfahan, Gonbad, Sari, Shahrood , were sown and evaluated for another year.
