Study of Micro, Sprinkler and Flood irrigation methods effects on water use efficiency in two rice variety in Fars
2009
Dehghanian, E. | Bagheri, M.
Water maneagement is one of the most important factors affecting rice production. At persent the flooded system is a general irrigation method that is a high water consumption with low efficiency method. This research was conducted at Kooshkak rice experimental station of Marvdasht city with silty clay soil during 2003-2006. This experiment was designed in a RCB exprimental design with 3 replications as spilt plots under condition of 2 factors: 1) irrigation and planting system were I1 micro irrigation in direct seeding, I2 sprinkler irrigation in direct seeding, I3 micro irrigation integrate with flooded irrigation, I4 sprinkler irrigation integrate with flooded irrigation and I5 flooded irrigation 2) rice cultivars were V1 Ghasrodashti G28 cultivar and V2 Hassani cultivarIn the all irrigation treatment the plot size was 12 * 12 m2 and the subplot size for cultivars was 12 * 5.4 m2. Used water in all treatments was measured by counter. Grain yield, plant height, effective tiller number, panicle lenght, number of filled and unfilled grain in panicle were recorded, on 10 random plants. Resualt showed that mean of water consumption in micro irrigation and sprinkler integrate with flooded irrigation method was 61% and 49% less than submerged method respectively.A comparison respected yeild losses in micro irrigation and sprinkler irrigation integrate with flooded irrigation of Ghasrodashti cultivar in three years were 20% and 59% less than flooded irrigation alike cultivar respectively. The yeild in direct seeding was very low and connivance. The means water use efficiency in flooded, sprinkler and micro irrigation method integrate with flooded irrigation of Ghasrodashti cultivar in three years were 0.18 , 0.16 and 0.42 kg/m3 respectively.
