Inefficiency in the use and allocation of resources constitute a major problem to increased Agricultural production in Nigeria. This study analyzed the efficiency of resource use in cotton production in Gassol local Government Area of Taraba State, Nigeria. It focused on the socio-economic characteristics of cotton farmers and the efficiency of resource use in cotton production. Data were collected from a random sample of 76 cotton farmers using questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression technique. Result showed that 86% of the farmers were males, majority of the farmers 52.63% were without formal education, while only 2.63% had access to credit facilities. The result also revealed that less than half of the respondents (34%) have small holdings measuring less than one hectare.
