Environmental conditions must be comfortable to ensure the genetic potentials of dairy cows. Using of suitable bedding material is one of these conditions. It has a positive effect on those relating to feet and legs, udder and reproductive problems, which are the three main problems in dairy cattle farming. Clean, dry and enough bedding material spread stalls keep cows clean and prevent the microbial activity. Comfortable stall floors encourage cows to lie and ruminate for a longer time, and therefore a higher feed efficiency and milk production are expected. (Uslucan and Ozkutuk, 2007).This study was conducted to determine the effects of hygiene score on some reproductive problems in different stall types and bedding materials. From the result of this research for the centre villages in Bursa, the differences between the bedding materials in stalls were not significant, so it can be said that farmers can choose the bedding material which is economic for them. Also, rate of repeat breeding, as a vital factor for farmers, showed significant increase, depend on hygiene. Therefore proposed to dairy farmers especially who removed manure manually (91%), manure can be removed more frequently.
