In this paper the author presented the status of Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus) in Serbia, with special reference to the present period. This paper includes the freshest study results on distribution, population size, trends, threats and conservation problems for the period 1996-2007. It also includes a short overview of this species’ status in the past and earlier period.
