Modern way of life, industrial development and contemporary agriculture had huge impact on the increase of water pollution. To asses the water quality, it is necessary beside standard analyses used in our country, to include the analysis of biological safety of the water. Allium anaphase-telophase test was used for the examination of water genotoxicity due to its reliability. Lower flow of Rasina River (Serbia) was used in our research. Obtained results are not encouraging, so constant control of all existing and potential sources of pollution is necessary.
