Pathogen Monilinia laxa may be a limiting factor in growing of cherry Oblacinska due to their hazard. It is well-known in the world and in our country that the amount of primary inoculum can be greatly reduced by applying various mechanical methods, but in the area of South-Eastern Serbia, they have little importance in plant protection practice. The experiments were carried out during period 2004-2006, at the location of Prokuplje. Experiments were made by the block system with two variants. In the first variant mechanical protection methods of cherry were applied, while the second option was the check, without protection by any methods. Assessment of effects was carried out by counting of infected (dried) and healthy flowers on the investigated trees. It was counted 1000 flowers in the variations from each tree and the samples were taken from all four world sides in the eye level. Efficiency was calculated by Abbott's formula. The mechanical methods efficiency was 58.8% in average, which confirmed their important role in IPM strategy. The percentage of infested flowers in the check ranged from 48.7% in 2006 and 73.0% in 2005, when was recorded the district epidemics of moniliosys in Toplica. In 2006, percent of infected flowers was significantly lower than in the previous two years due to unfavorable distribution of precipitation for the development of pathogen M. laxa.
