Reserve makes Zasavica sea surface with hydrophilic mosaic layout, higrophylic and heath habitat and underground is powered by the Drina and Cerska water. The length of the river Zasavica is 33.1 km, width up to 80 m 2 m depth. Reserve has an area 1821 ha, of which 671 ha in the second mode of protection. Government of the Republic Serbia 1997. declares Zasavica for 'Special Nature Reserve'. Recorded 250 species of fungi, where the 8 species Red List of fungi in Europe. The reserve grows about 700 species of plants. The most important finding in the flora of the reserve is insectivore plant globally endangered species Aldrovanda vesiculosa which is the habitat of rare, endemic only in Serbia. The present flora of the reserve is 5 critically endangered species, 3 species are tertiary and 2 glacial relics, as well as a large number of endemic species. Snail without homes are represented by 3 species of which is a kind of Balkan endemic. The Reserve found 56 species of day butterflies, of which 6 species of European red list, one species at the World Red List and the two are endangered species. Fauna Dragonfly reservation has 37 species, and the most important species is Epitheca bimaculata, which has long considered extinct in Serbia and the endemic cricket Zeuneriana amplipennis. Mirmecofaun Reserve No. 31 type, and it was concluded and a new species for Serbia. It was found 37 species of snails, 41 species proboscidean two of which are new species for Serbia and 15 from other types of Invertebrate group is on the European red list. The Beetle 8 are rare, protected and endemic species. The waters Zasavica live Amphipods 5 species, 3 species Hydrachnidia. Of the 350 species of algae, algae Tolipella intricate (Charophytha) is a new species for Serbia. Of 190 species of zooplankton Rotatoria 11 species are new for Serbia and 5 are new for the Balkans. The water current Zasavica live 25 species of fish, of which 7 species are natural rarities and have the status of endangered species and 5 species are vulnerable. Curio reserves the presence globally endangered species Umbra kramer, for which the watercourse Zasavica one of two remaining habitats in Serbia. Fauna of amphibians and reptiles is represented with 27 species of which are 3 types of Balkan endemic species, 17 species of natural rarities, two vulnerable and endangered species and one species is dependent on protection. Reserve has 186 species of birds. The list of important species at the level of Europe status SPEC 1 has 6 species, SPEC 2 16 species of birds. The highest value ornithofauna reserve and IBA Zasavica the populations of the species Aythya nyroca, which is 4.74% of the national population of 0.054% of the territory of Serbia. Teriofauna Reserve has 65 species of mammals, of which 60 species belong to different IUCN categories of threat, (2 vulnerable, endangered and 5 in Europe). The area is Zasavica 2004, reintroduction European beaver from the wider area of Bavaria a total of 35 individuals, and we now have 15 territories with abundance of 80 individuals. Summary of the data revealed that a total of 20 newly discovered species (19 Invertebrate and one algae) for Serbia and the Balkans, while the 4 species found on the World Red List, 37 species are on the European red list and a large number of endemic species. For about 30 species of these are the first data south of the Sava River and Macva.
