It experimentally is proved that soy milk has pronounced antioxidant properties, probably, due to high content in it of vitamins E and phospholipids. A group of 13 young people aged 17-19 years for 2 weeks each daily took 1 glass of soy nutritious cocktail. Upon completing the experiment, the content of vitamin E in blood increases in 11 people. The content of lipid hydroperoxides reduced. In soybeans a trypsin inhibitor is present in great amounts thereby decreasing the proteolytic activity of blood serum when taking soy cocktails. The soy trypsin inhibitor is 88.22% homologous to pancreatic inhibitor of proteinases and 65% alpha 1-antitrypsin present in human blood serum. It can be potentially a base for developing a hypoallergenic medical preparation to treat acute pancreatitis. The efficiency of using soy milk in complex treatment of patients with ischemic heart disease was studied. Taking 0.5 l of soy milk daily a in addition to medicated therapy resulted in reducing the content of total cholesterol in blood serum and increasing the content of phospholipids, vitamin E. It is concluded that soy milk and other products containing soy are useful for health
