In autumn 2008, we have carried out experimental works relating to artificial reproduction of whitefish species in the Pechora river basin. Such works included the creation of temporary fishery station for fishing-out the producers in the Usa river - in places of pre-spawning concentrations, impregnation and transportation of roe to fish-rearing plant at Sosnogorsky fishery. The production cycle included the following main stages: fishing-out and retaining the producers, collection and impregnation of roe, removal of mucilage with further roe swelling and transportation to fishery enterprise; roe incubation in factory conditions; larvae hatching, retention and breeding, with further release of young fish into the Usa river. Total amount of impregnated whitefish roe taken at the temporary fishing station, amounts to over 1 million specimen of peled and whitefish. There are 0.5 mln peled larvae specimen and 0.4 mln whitefish released into the Usa river. The obtained results can be used in development of artificial valuable species reproduction in the framework of complex Program for freshwater aquaculture development within Komi Republic
