Evaluation of the efficacy of ridomil gold MZ 68 WG (metalxyl-m+mancozeb) against early blight on tomato (alternaria alternata)

Experiments were carried out at Tayba Block (Bashkar area), Gezira Scheme during 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons to evaluate the efficacy of Ridomil Gold MZ 68 WG for the control of early blight caused by Alternaria lternate on tomato. The fungicide at the four tested dosage rates significantly reduced disease incidence compared to the untreated control in both seasons and increased crop yield in season 2004-05. All fungicides with the exception of Ridomil at the lower rate of 0.5 kg significantly increased crop yield compared to the untreated control in 2005-06
