Research was based on data from sample monitoring of a part of the High Tatra Mts. territory. Complex assessment of artificial regeneration four years after calamity of 2004 is presented in the paper. Data were obtained from 924 satellites (four circular sample plots with radius 3 m) established in regular network 500x500 m. Tree species composition, number of trees, their health condition, vitality and proportion in total forest regeneration are analysed. The results confirm that artificial regeneration covers V. of calamity territory, where has suitable tree species composition, density 730+-72 trees per l ha, good health condition, high vitality and the proportion in total regeneration 8.4%. On the whole calamity territory, its density is 176+-23 individuals and the proportion in total regeneration is 1,3%. On adjacent non-calamity territory, the extent of artificial regeneration is 4 times smaller but natural regeneration on these localities is more (1,7 times) abundant.
