Reproductive performance of small-holder dairy farm in Photaram district Ratchburi province

Study of reproductive performance in small-holder dairy farm in Photaram district Ratchburi province indicated that results from this study which have calving interval 459.65+-105.13 days (n=264), lactation length 355.19+-76.11 days (n=124), dry period 88.52+-24.95 days(n=125), calving to first service interval 142.42+-81.21 days (n=90), calving to conception interval 188.46+-106.17 days (n=262), numbers of service per conception 2.6+-1.75 days (n=103) and gestation length 275.96+-5.23 days (n=65) were similar with the previous others study results in Thailand. This results also reviewed a low reproductive performance. Because of a limitation of the data and study design, this study could not state the factors that might effect to these reproductive indices. So the further studies of the factors that involve with the reproductive indices of cows raise under the small-holder farm condition in this area are need.
