Silver pomfret (Pampus argenteus Euphrasen, 1788) in Don Sak district, Surat Thani province were monthly collected during November 2007 to October 2008. There were 773 fish samples, which ranged from 9.6 to 20.8 cm (FL). Sex ratio, male to female, was equal to 1:0.47. Length-weight relationships of male and female were W = 0.0284FL sup (3.0160) and W = 0.0248FL sup (3.0739). Silver pomfret in the study area has spawning season during September to February. The growth patterns of both sexes were isometric. The questionnaires were collected from 42 fishermen. The fishing gears for Silver pomfret fishery were push net and gill net. The results of the studies showed that Silver Pomfret have been highly exploited because it has high profit return and it can be caught all season and all fishing areas. Conservation guidelines should be set during spawning season and fishing measures should be enforced seriously for the conservation and sustainable use of silver pomfret in Don Sak districts.
