Aim of this research is to study the adoption of agricultural innovation and technology in Yonglae, a village community. The study is based on qualitative research included documentary study. Field data were collected by non-participatory, observation, informal focus group discussions, and in-depth interviews with the key informants, purposive sample using snow ball technique. The study was conducted in the Yonglae village community, Amphor Omkoy, Chiangmai Province. Data were analysed and synthesised by content analysis and inductive analysis. The results of the research showed that the Yonglae village is an agricultural community cultivating rice. There were agricultural innovations and technologies, PVC-pipes, fertilizer, herbicide, sprinklers, watering pots, tractors, shading net, greenhouses, bio-organic liquid, and etc., in the community. The PVC-pipe and tractor directly concerned with rice cultivation, were perfectly utilized. To conform with both the socio-cultural and economic community, the PVC-pipe was used to replace a bamboo-pipe leading from a water wheel to irrigate the wet rice field. Plowing the paddy, the tractor was used to replace an animal, however, it was not in the line with these community contexts.
