Pilot project of study of consumer behavior preschool child prevention for obesity in Bangkok metropolis

Purpose of this research was to study of style of preschool child's lunch in kindergarten, situation of nutrition and consumer behavior of preschool child. Style of preschool child's lunch were 72 percent of one dishes that were noodle 65 percent, desserts were fruit 52 percent.Their situation of nutrition of preschool child had 74.4 percent of preschool child were reached the standard weight for age and height and 14.7 percent were over weight. For their consumer behavior, 26 percent of them had 5 meals/day, and 3.9 percent of them consume more than 5 meals. Considering for snacks, they prefered to have bun, donut, ice cream, crispy potato chip, crispy corn chip, cake, cookies, sweet drinking, and coke. In addition, 59.3 percent of them refused Thai desserts such as banana coconut milk, pumpkin coconut milk. There was significant of the relation between their weight and types of foods such as coconut milk, milk and product of milk, squid crisps, and jelly at .05 level.
