The aim of this study was to determine spectral characteristics of the cotton, soybean and corn growing plots at Yüreğir region in 2003 by means of the digital data from the Landsat 5 TM Satellite. For this purpose, spectral characteristics of cotton, soybean and corn were determined at the six bands. Optimum band combination was found to be 3th, 5th and 7th bands for determination of these plants growing plots in this region. Satellite images were classified by supervized method and these plants in the plots basis were distinguished by 96.3 percentage accuracy.

Bu çalışmada, Landsat 5 TM uydusunun sayısal verileri kullanılarak Yüreğir ovasında yetiştirilen 2003 yılı pamuk, soya fasulyesi ve mısır ekili parsellerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, çalışma alanında pamuk, soya fasulyesi ve mısır bitkilerinin spektral özellikleri altı bandta saptanmış ve bu veriler ışığında söz konusu bitkilerin ekili olduğu alanların en iyi Landsat 5 TM uydusu 3., 5., ve 7. band kombinasyonu ile belirlenebileceği sonucuna varılmıştır. Uydu görüntüsü, supervized yöntem ile sınıflandırılmış ve parsel bazında pamuk, soya fasulyesi ve mısır bitkileri % 96,3 doğrulukla ayırt edilebilmiştir.
